Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Montgomery County, Texas. You will be based on a structural steel site. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Part-time with flexible hours. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
