Now hiring: sample machinist (South Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sample machinist in Marlboro County, South Carolina. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. The role involves: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
