Gas metal arc welder wanted in Fergus County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Fergus County, Montana. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Full-time with occasional weekends.
