Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Clay County, Alabama. You will work at a power plant. Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
