Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Miller County, Georgia. You will work at a high-rise construction project. What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire You will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
