Sheet metal welder — Franklin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Franklin County, Massachusetts. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
