Foundry labourer • Henry County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Henry County, Iowa. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
