Shakeout operator wanted in Carter County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Carter County, Tennessee. Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
