Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar worker in Iowa County, Wisconsin. Day-to-day duties: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Six days a week, one day off. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
