Gas metal arc welder wanted in Delaware County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Delaware County, Iowa. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Six days a week, one day off. $11,750 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
