Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Mineral County, Nevada. Day-to-day duties: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 3+ years on the tools preferred.
