Now hiring: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Las Animas County, Colorado. You will work at an auto components factory. On the job you will handle: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts Requirements: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges 5+ years on the tools preferred.
