Trainee butcher • Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland. The job is in a hotel or restaurant butchery. The role involves run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
