Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Madison County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Madison County, Georgia. You will be based in a warehouse and logistics yard. Day-to-day duties: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience.
