Stainless steel welder — Glynn County

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Glynn County, Georgia. On a typical shift you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
