Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Floyd County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Your main tasks: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
