Sample machinist wanted in Comanche County

Join our team: we are hiring a sample machinist in Comanche County, Texas. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. On a typical shift you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams We offer $30 per hour plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
