Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Worcester County, Massachusetts. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
