Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Own basic hand tools and PPE Full-time, day shift. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
