Cement mason — New Hanover County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cement mason in New Hanover County, North Carolina. You will work at an infrastructure site. On the job you will handle: • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer What we are looking for: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $27 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
