Brick and block layer wanted in Lowndes County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Lowndes County, Georgia. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
