Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Blaenau Gwent, Wales. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Part-time with flexible hours.
