Precision welder wanted in Adams County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Adams County, Illinois. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On the job you will handle: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Rotating shifts.
