Join our team: frame straightening technician (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a frame straightening technician in Mackinac County, Michigan. You will be based in a smash repair workshop. On a typical shift you will read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections; mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer. Ideal candidate: • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop Performance bonus on top of base pay.
