Now hiring: we are hiring a building site helper in Macon County, Alabama. The job is with a civil contractor. What we are looking for: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Your main tasks: • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
