Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Dukes County, Massachusetts. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
