Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Irion County, Texas. The job is at a shipyard. Day to day you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear 3+ years on the tools preferred.
