Urgent requirement: GTAW welder (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Washington County, New York. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
