Semi-automatic welder wanted in Lake and Peninsula Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. On a typical shift you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Full-time with occasional weekends.
