Fire and safety officer — Cannon County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Cannon County, Tennessee. On a typical shift you will conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
