Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Abbeville County, South Carolina. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Full-time with occasional weekends.
