Shakeout operator wanted in Gaines County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Gaines County, Texas. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Full-time, day shift.
