Sheet metal welder — Owyhee County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Owyhee County, Idaho. You will work on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
