Vacancy available: pipe TIG welder (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Jeff Davis County, Texas. You will work on a structural steel site. On a typical shift you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Six days a week, one day off.
