Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Tucker County, West Virginia. You will be based on a busy residential building site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine.
