Overlocker operator — Borough of Oldham

Immediate opening: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Borough of Oldham, England. Your main tasks: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown 6+ years on the tools preferred.
