Occupational health and safety officer — Crawford County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Crawford County, Georgia. The job is at a busy construction site. The role involves: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements 1+ years on the tools preferred.
