Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Goochland County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to grind and set HSS cutters $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
