Aluminium tig welder wanted in Cedar County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Cedar County, Iowa. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Part-time with flexible hours.
