Refrigeration and AC mechanic — Ketchikan Gateway Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a refrigeration and AC mechanic in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The job is on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints Your main tasks: • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges Part-time with flexible hours.
