Track-type tractor operator • City of Chesapeake, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in City of Chesapeake, Virginia. You will work on a road construction project. Day-to-day duties: • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Refuel the machine and record running hours • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms You should have: • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
