Gas metal arc welder — Peterborough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Peterborough, England. You will be based at an automobile body shop. On the job you will handle: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs What we are looking for: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • ITI in welder trade or equivalent £2,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
