Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift Day to day you will set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence.
