Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Russell County, Kansas. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings.
