Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours The role involves screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. £2,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
