Counter butcher wanted in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a counter butcher in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves: • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • 2+ years experience working as a butcher At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
