Shuttering carpenter — City of Norton

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in City of Norton, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level On a typical shift you will assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
