Great opportunity: precision welder (Alabama)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Shelby County, Alabama. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
