Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Borough of Oldham, England. You will work on site fitting windows in new-build flats. Requirements: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop On a typical shift you will cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile.
