Argon welder wanted in Hot Spring County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
